Jeff has a mission to provide every client with targeted, detailed financial advice using the SFG Vista Process. He understands that he can't be all things to everyone, but instead focuses on being the “personal CFO” to a small group of successful families and business owners, coaching them with all aspects of their financial lives. Jeff helps clients address their financial concerns and develop sound strategies by focusing on each individual's specific needs. This service is delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity.
Background and Experience
Jeff Began his career in 1998 as a Financial Advisor with PaineWebber, a predecessor firm of UBS in Denver, CO. Jeff has dedicated his career to delivering the personalized investment planning services his clients deserve. In 2008, Jeff successfully completed the “Wealth Advisor” training with the inaugural class at UBS. The Wealth Advisor training focused on guiding clients with both assets and debts through their entire financial lifecycle of growing, protecting and passing on their wealth.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fort Lewis College with majors in both Economics and Business Administration. While in college, Jeff raced on the ski team and was an avid kayaker.
After 11 years with UBS in Denver, CO, Jeff relocated back to Durango as branch manager for and the local UBS office. He joined Wells Fargo Advisors as First Vice President- Investment Officer in October of 2009. Jeff was recognized by Wells Fargo Advisors as a Premier Advisor each year, 2010-2019. The Premier Advisor designation is held by a select group of financial advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors and reflects a high level of standards as measured by one or more of the firm's criteria for revenue generation, educational attainment, and client-service best practices.
In August of 2019, Jeff and his team aligned with Prospera Financial Services, a seven-time broker dealer of the year award winner from Investment Advisor Magazine. Prospera offers the Speicher Private Wealth the best of two worlds - the hands-on expertise and attention of a boutique, service-driven culture and the resources of some of the largest broker dealers in the country.
Away from the Office
Jeff's commitment to service also carries over to the local community. Jeff is the former President of Durango BMX, and an Elks member of Local 507. Jeff supports the Fort Lewis College Alumni Association, Durango BMX, the Durango Chamber of Commerce, and the St. Columba School. Jeff volunteers with Junior Achievement and is a past board member of the Rotary Club of Durango and the Fort Lewis College Alumni Association.
Jeff is a pilot, marathoner, cyclist, skier, Cross Fit junkie, and longtime motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoys hunting, fishing and the outdoors with his wife Thess and two children
