Jeff Speicher
Managing Director-Financial Advisor


Jeff has a mission to provide every client with targeted, detailed financial advice using the SFG Vista Process. He understands that he can't be all things to everyone, but instead focuses on being the “personal CFO” to a small group of successful families and business owners, coaching them with all aspects of their financial lives. Jeff helps clients address their financial concerns and develop sound strategies by focusing on each individual's  specific needs. This service is delivered with the highest level of personal service and professional integrity. 

Background and Experience

Jeff Began his career in 1998 as a Financial Advisor with PaineWebber, a predecessor firm of UBS in Denver, CO. Jeff has dedicated his career to delivering the personalized investment planning services his clients deserve. In 2008, Jeff successfully completed the “Wealth Advisor” training with the inaugural class at UBS. The Wealth Advisor training focused on guiding clients with both assets and debts through their entire financial lifecycle of growing, protecting and passing on their wealth.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fort Lewis College with majors in both Economics and Business Administration. While in college, Jeff raced on the ski team and was an avid kayaker.

After 11 years with UBS in Denver, CO, Jeff relocated back to Durango and the local UBS office. He joined Wells Fargo Advisors as First Vice President- Investment Officer in October of 2009. Jeff was recognized by Wells Fargo Advisors as a Premier Advisor each year, 2010-2019. The Premier Advisor designation is held by a select group of financial advisors within Wells Fargo Advisors and reflects a high level of standards as measured by one or more of the firm's crieteria for revenue generation, educational attainment, and client-service best practices.

In August of 2019, Jeff and his team aligned with Prospera Financial Services, a seven-time broker dealer of the year award winner from Investment Advisor Magazine. Prospera offers the Speicher Financial Group the best of two worlds - the hands-on expertise and attention of a boutique, service-driven culture and the resources of some of the largest broker dealers in the country.

Away from the Office

Jeff's commitment to service also carries over to the local community. Jeff is the President of Durango BMX. Jeff supports the Fort Lewis College Alumni Association, the Durango Chamber of Commerce, and the St. Columba School. Jeff volunteers with Junior Achievement and is a past board member of the Rotary Club of Durango and the Fort Lewis College Alumni Association.

Jeff is a pilot, marathoner, cyclist, skier, Cross Fit junkie, and longtime motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoys the outdoors with his wife Thess, daughter Tyrsa, and son Wesley.


Vinessa Ekberg
Financial Advisor

We believe a well thought out plan is crucial to getting you to your financial destination. We are committed to a high level of integrity, providing honest, sincere, and trustworthy advice.  We do what is in our client's best interest to work toward attaining their goals.

Our process always begins with listening and understanding my client's current situation and goals for the future. Based on your goals, concerns, risk tolerances and financial circumstances; I will propose strategies and solutions to help you achieve those goals. With your confirmation, we implement strategies which balance risk tolerance and long term goals and progress is monitored. As life changes we re-sync —or rethink — to ensure your plan is as unique as you and your circumstances are. Together with my clients I develop working relationships to assist them in managing their entire financial journey. Guidance during the journey is disseminated through applying judgment with care, skill and caution. 

Background and Experience

Vinessa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fort Lewis College with a bachelor of arts in Business Administration- Tourism & Hospitality Management in 2013. She began her career in the financial services industry in 2014. Vinessa has always had a passion for planning and now use those skills to help clients meet their financial goals.

Away from the Office

Vinessa enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes. She also like to go practice yoga, and travel to new places. Vinessa is a Colorado native who grew up in the Denver metro area, and moved to Durango in 2010. She and her fiancé, Brian, enjoy hiking with their three dogs and four wheeling many of the trails throughout Southwest Colorado.


Rae Jean Elmore-Zoltowski
Client Associate

Rae Jean ensures the team cultivates, maintains and strengthens relationships throughout the practice.  She earned a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from University of Northern Colorado and has committed herself to financial services since 2002. Rae Jean has experience through various roles including private bank investments, home mortgage, bank operations, and retail banking. Rae Jean's focus is to provide the highest standard of customer service. She coordinates all client relations and plans all customer events.

Rae Jean is a fourth generation Durango native. Rae Jean and her husband, Chris, live in Bayfield with their son, CJ. Rae Jean has a passion for creating new dishes in the kitchen. Rae Jean is a fourth generation Durango native. After graduating from Mancos High School, she spent 18 years living throughout Colorado and Las Vegas, NV before returning to the Durango area to raise her son in 2015.
